Band Together For ALS
This Sunday, Bowens Island hosts an all-day music festival and fundraiser on the main dock with a slew of local acts. Cary Ann Hearst and friends, Graham Whorley , the Key of Q, Ryan Bonner and the Dearly Beloved, Sarah Cole and the Hawkes, the Healing, Tommy Moneymaker, and other musicians share the stage from noon to 9 p.m. It’s a benefit designed to raise money and awareness for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association S.C. Chapter. ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. There is no current treatment or cure. Gates open at 11 a.m. Food and drink will be available.
